Frequently asked questions

Will it ruin faces?
Our colourisation system is tuned to keep faces natural. Results depend on the original scan, but we avoid harsh artefacts.
How accurate are the colours?
Colours are estimated from context. Expect lifelike tones, but some shades may differ from the real scene.
What makes a good quality photo?
For the best results, use a high‑resolution scan of your original photo. The ideal size is between 1500 and 4000 pixels on the longest side. Clear, well‑lit photos with sharp focus will produce the most lifelike colours. Very small or blurry photos may result in less detailed colourisation.
Is it safe to upload family photos?
Yes. We process images on EU servers and delete them after 30 days unless you save them.
Are my photos used to improve the system?
No. We never train on customer photos.
How do credits work?
Buy bundles via Stripe and spend one credit per photo.
Do credits expire?
No. Credits stay in your account until used and are not transferable.
What formats do you support?
JPEG, PNG and TIFF. Up to ~50MB or ~25 megapixels.
Can I print the results?
Yes. Downloads are high-resolution; print at 300 DPI for best quality.
How long does it take?
Usually minutes; large files or busy periods may take longer.
